Born in Brazil, raised in Sweden, and refers to Thailand as home. I identify as a Black woman, I am a mother of two, and I choose to enter the field of Sexology and Dance and Movement Therapy after I got a divorce. The divorce gave me the opportunity to evaluate my situation and choices, and I decided to take the next steps with my gut feeling and intuition leading me; which brought me to Sexual Liberation, Embodied Knowledge, and Somatic Healing.
My travels back to Brazil and my wish to unfold and understand myself and my many layers of identities is an essential core in my professional and personal dedication and understanding of the world, and myself. My second child is born at home, in an unassisted homebirth, which also is one profound experience that allowed me to reshape my reality.
Strongly believing in the need for staying grounded and expressing my true, authentic voice to feel alive, I have, as many others, been challenged with becoming and staying myself as the society continues to try to distract us from our true purpose. Racism is one of those things that continues to distract us, and as a Black woman, mother to two children with more visible white privilege than me – this is something I repeatedly am faced with.
I am Love.
I am Resilience.
And I am Safe – and it is Safe to Be Safe.
